Ralph Daniel Jackson, 75, of Montrose, died Friday, July 28, 2017 at the Hospice Home Care Center in Little Rock. Mr. Jackson was a native of Montrose; a resident of the Trafalgar Community outside of Hamburg for the past 17 years and a former resident of Crossett for many years. He retired after 42 years as a machine operator for the Georgia-Pacific Tissue Mill. He was a member of the Trafalgar Hunting Club for many years and a member of the Sardis Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by a son, Steve Stephenson and his parents, Coy Daniel & Ella Mae Rice Jackson.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Brenda Graves Jackson of Montrose; a son, Scott Stephenson; a daughter, DeAnna Carr and husband, Oscar, all of Crossett; two brothers, Herman Jackson of Dermott and Byron Dale Jackson and wife, Judy, of Crossett; a sister, Opal Davis and husband, John, of Hot Springs; four grandchildren, Blake Laing and Douglas Ross both of Crossett, Shane Ross of Pensacola, Florida and Devin Ross of Crossett; a host of nieces and nephews and a special family friend, Robert Hampton..
Funeral services are 10 a.m., Monday, July 31, 2017 at the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Allen Jackson, Bro. Zachary Jackson and Bro. Travis Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Flat Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers are J.D. White, Ben Lawrence, Don “Duck” Gwin, Rob Chapman, Jimmy Loveless, David Griffin and Hunter Thompson. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Trafalgar Hunting Club, Brian Bays, Mike Avery, Briar Jackson and Tyler Thompson.
