Eric Adams

Eric Adams, 49, of Hamburg, died Thursday, April 28, 2016 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. He was a native of Warren and a resident of Hamburg since 1981. He graduated from Hamburg High School in 1985. He was a truck driver for Timber Producers and a member of the First Baptist Church. He enjoyed cooking for his family and reading about civil war history.

            He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Adams in 1986; his grandparents, Walter & Connie Blankenship Adams and Tilman Jerome (Pop) & Hazel Polk Hargrave.

            He is survived by a son, Jake Adams of Hamburg; his mother and step-father, Nancy Hargrave Gwin & Bobby Jo Gwin; a sister, Kim Lauhon and husband, Ronnie; a special uncle, Mickey Hargrave; 2 nieces, Trenna Lauhon all of Hamburg and Cheyenne Clavet and husband, Garrett, of McGehee; a nephew, Derek Lauhon of Hamburg and two great-nephews.

            Funeral Services are 2 p.m., Sunday, May 1, 2016 at the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Josh Luellen officiating. Burial will be in the Hamburg Cemetery. Pallbearers are Joe Foster, Darren Cason, Richard Weatherly, Jeff Pennington, Zach Bostick and Hunter Thompson. Honorary pallbearers are the Hamburg High School class of 1985. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association Arkansas Affiliate, P.O. Box 1610, Little Rock, AR 72203.
 Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
