Leotis McHenry

Leotis McHenry, 68, of Hamburg, died Saturday, November 4, 2017.  Mr. McHenry was a native of Ashley County, a resident of Eudora for most of his life and a resident of Hamburg for the past five years.  He worked for the City of Eudora for over 20 years.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Louisa McHenry; his father, George Akins and two brothers, Cleveland Sellers and Thomas Akins.

He is survived by 11 brothers, James Sellers and wife, Janelle, of South Carolina, Paul Sellers of Virginia, Willie Sellers, Jr., Ken L. Morris and wife, Deborha, George Morris and Edward Morris and wife, Alice, all of Hamburg, James Akins of Little Rock, George Akins, Jr., of Virginia, LaVale Johnson of McGehee, Isaiah Akins of Little Rock and Tyrone Akins of Forrest City; 6 sisters, Annie Mae Caldwell and husband, Arthur, Hazel Richardson and husband, Morris, and Shirley Ann Morris all of Hamburg, Octavia Dunning and husband, James, Victoria Akins and Ruth Akins all of Little Rock and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 10 a.m., Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Union Baptist Church in Parkdale with Pastor Jessie Mae Goodwin officiating.  Burial will be in the Childress Chapel Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Alvin Brewer, Charles Paskel, Jr., Devonta Paskel, Robert Robertson, Charles Mooney, Jr., and Oscar Dawson.  Honorary pallbearers are Edward Morris, George Morris, Ken L. Morris, Willie Sellers, James Sellers and Paul Sellers.       

Visitation will be 5-6 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
