I am a graduate of Mars Hill University. I had Ms.Bierbaum for Child Development and other courses in the 80's.
I have been teaching for the past thirty years.
I wish I had kept in closer contact.
Sending love and prayers to the family.

I was a student at Mars Hill College in the early 1980s. Miss Bierbaum was my "House Mother" at Jarvis House and an instructor in the Home Ec department. She was warm and had a sense of humor, which she probably needed in that house full of young women! I remember her fondly; my condolences to her family and friends.

I am her sister Charlotte's granddaughter. Both Charlotte and her son, my dad, passed recently as well. My father, Charles, passed in December and Charlotte passed in March of this year.

I am so sorry to hear of Ms Bierbaum's passing. I did not know until today! She was a wonderful teacher and mentor to me! She is the reason I went back to Mars Hill and graduated! I will always be thankful for her guidance and encouragement during my college years! Your family will be in my prayers!

My deepest sympathy goes out to Winona's family. We were classmates at Hamburg High School, Class of 1959. Winona, along with Freddie, attended classes , took piano lessons from Mrs. Young  and participated in so many things with me and our classmates. These are years that I have always treasured and the memories are some of the happiest of my life.
She was always so smart and friendly. It is no surprise to me that she has done so well. She was a great friend and I know that she had to be a wonderful sister, aunt, and teacher. God bless you! Charlotte BlairAyers
