Winnie Oglesby

             Winnie Oglesby, 80, of Hamburg, died Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at the Premier Health and Rehabilitation Center in North Little Rock.  Mrs. Oglesby was a native of Ashley County and a former resident of Andrews, Texas for many years having moved back to Hamburg in 1988.  She was an excellent homemaker and she worked for the Andrews School District for 10 years.  She was a member of the Fountain Hill First Baptist Church.  She was an avid reader, a seamstress and she enjoyed crossword puzzles and stitchery.

            She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, J.B. Oglesby in July of this year; her parents, Frank and Annie Hartley Craig; a brother, Garland Craig and five sisters, Ann Blazier, Jean Compton, Elise Bryan, Ruby Turner and Lavada Osborne.

            She is survived by a daughter, Sherry Howell and husband, Greg, of North Little Rock; a son, Don Oglesby and wife, Mary, of Magnolia; a brother, Bruin Craig of Crossett; two sisters, Norma Warren of West Tawakoni, Texas and Vivian Thurman of Lawton, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

            Graveside services and burial are 10 a.m., Friday, September 11, 2015 in the Eden Cemetery with Bro. Bill Elton officiating.  Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. 

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
