Willie Earl Brown, 74, of Crossett, died Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett. Mr. Brown was a native of Drew County and a resident of Crossett since 1968. He was a veteran of the Untied States Army having served during the Vietnam Era. He worked for Georgia Pacific Corporation for 38 years having retired in 2006. He served as Vice President of the Paper Makers Union for eight years and he was a member of the Cloverdale Assembly of God Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim & Idell Doss Brown.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Nancy Carol Sledge Brown; a son, Randy Sellers both of Crossett; two daughters, Eydie Johnson of Crossett and Carolyn Woodard of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; two brothers, James Edward Brown of Monticello and Lavon Brown of Lebanon, Missouri; 8 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two nieces, Sherry Brown of Monticello and Rhonda Fore of Lebanon, Missouri.
Funeral services are 3 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the Cloverdale Assembly of God Church with Bro. John Martin and Bro. Zack Coffman officiating. Burial will be in the Carlock Cemetery. Pallbearers are Charles Berryman, Carlton Maxwell, Ronnie McDonald, Dennis Banks, John Fore and Rickey Middlebrooks. Memorials may be made to the Cloverdale Assembly of God Church Youth Department, 132 Ashley 15 Road, Crossett, AR 71635.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
