Ty Smith

Ty Smith, 23, of Crossett, died Sunday, May 22, 2016 as a result of an automobile accident. He was a native and lifelong resident of Crossett. He attended Abiding Faith Christian School, was a structural fitter and worked construction and recently graduated from John 3:16 Ministries. He was a Momma’s boy, a great uncle and brother. He enjoyed having fun and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Fay Smith.

He is survived by his mother, Michelle Clark Andrews and husband, Chesley, of Crossett; his father, Shane Smith and wife, Carmen, of Fountain Hill; his grandparents Richard and Brenda Clark of Crossett and Wyatt Smith of Bastrop; a brother, Jacob Smith of Crossett; a sister, Punky Smith of Hamburg; a step-sister, Cara Ladd of Hamburg; four nephews and one niece.

Funeral services are 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2016 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Griffith and Bro. Craig Chain officiating. Burial will be in the Flat Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jacob Smith, Bodie Ozment, Hayden Hennington, Chad Watson, Hunter Thompson, Tyler Thompson, and Kip Carter. Honorary pallbearer is Charles Varnell. Memorials can be made to John 3:16 Ministries, 75 Holmes Road, Charlotte, Arkansas 72522. 

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
