Mr. Ralph Doss, 73, of Hamburg, died Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. Mr. Doss was a native of Oak Grove and a resident of Hamburg for most of his life. He worked at Georgia-Pacific Tissue Mill for 25 years having retired in 2007 and he was a member of the Gardner Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and being out doors. He loved his family, grandchildren and people but most important was his love for the Lord.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mancy & Adlee Hill Doss; five brothers, R.B., Marion, Bobby, Leo and Durwood Doss and five sisters, Armetta Holland, Martha Jean Kirkpatrick, Gwendolyn Doss, Jeanette Doss and Maxine Doss.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Glenda Sivils Doss of Hamburg; two sons, Mark Doss and wife, Tiffany, of Crossett and Chris Doss and wife, Hollie, of Hamburg; a brother, Elmer Lee Doss of Texas; three sisters, Syble Barnes of Moore, Oklahoma, Naomi Barnard of Norman, Oklahoma and Dean Langley of Hamburg; seven grandchildren, Jeffery Doss, Derek Doss, Jamie West and husband, Tim, Jaci Doss, Kaleb Carter, Destiny Courson and Bryan Bonnette and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2015 at the Gardner Baptist Church with Rev. Coby Harper and Rev. Eugene Howie officiating. Burial will be in the Unity Cemetery. Pallbearers are Johnny Kilcrease, Emmitt Wallace, Johnny Huffstetler, Jeff Miller, Ronnie Ware and Wayne Fox. Visitation is 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
