Dean, seeing Patty's obituary reminded me of long years ago when the Roberts and Nelsons were neighbors. Every time I ever saw your sweet wife, she was smiling and were friendly. I just want you to know that I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. May you feel God's love and comfort daily. May He bless each day with precious memories.

Want to express words of comfort to the Nelson family during their time of grief. Our Heavenly Father Jehovah and his son Christ Jesus know the pain that death can bring so they provides us of this guaranteed promise mentioned at Revelation chapter 21 verses 4 and 5 which states, 4 "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” 5 And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also he says: “Write, for these words are faithful and true.”

Rest in peace Patty Jean, you were an angle here on earth and now I am sure your watching over your family from heaven. I was glad I was able to speak to you a couple of times before you passed, I will never forget that the last time we spoke you told me you loved me, I was happy to respond that I loved you too. That meant a lot to me, I wish we lived closer to each other it would have been so nice to have shared more family time together. You were such a incredible mother, wife, grandmother, aunt and friend to many, I still have the cookbook you mailed to me one Christmas, it will be cherished always. Sincere condolences to your family.

I am so sad about Patty's passing and yet so thankful for the visits you made to Houma so I could have the pleasure of knowing her beautiful soul better. She expressed her pride and love for all her children, and you all have been so supportive of your parents - to a degree that is rarely seen today. I love you for that! Dean, you and Patty had a love story worth writing about. I hope you will write your memoirs - My heart is filled with love and sympathy for you all. Patty was a beautiful wife and mother and friend! My daughters, Linda Stone, Sandy Brooks, and I will be making a donation to the Gideons honoring the life of Patty. I love you all and trust our Lord will give you comfort.
