Ann, we were so sorry to read of George's death and are sorry we didn't have more occasion to be with him. We hear such fine things about him and would have enjoyed his friendship. Our love goes out to you in sadness -- and also in joy that you had precious time together. You remain in our hearts, Peggy and Jimmy

I am so sorry for the loss of your dear father. He was such a fine, gentle man and always had that charming smile for everyone he met. I regret I could not be there for his visitation and service., but I had to be out of town. Please know that all of you are in my heart and in my prayers. He will be sorely missed by so many, and we have lost a true southern gentleman. Portland mourns with you.

George and I were friends all of our lives in our unique little town. He was a good friend of my brothers also and he loved Mack and Mack loved him back for sure. I loved my short time with Ann also and they made such a great couple and I am knowing what she is going through. The girls and Leyden were 3 of my all-time favorite people and I am grieving with them==love you all.
