Esther Lola Watt, 74, of Crossett, died Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett. Mrs. Watt was a native of Wilmot and a resident of Crossett for the past 40 years. She worked at Baker’s Pharmacy for a number of years and she was a member of the Unity Baptist Church. She was a Chihuahua dog breeder and an avid animal lover.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Johnny Watt in 2013; her parents, Calvin and Juanita Hughes Smith; two sisters, Peggy Bernice Lane and Georgianna Jernigan and a step-grandchild, Chance Watt.
She is survived by two brothers, Calvin J. Smith, Jr. of Maple Grove, Minnesota and David L. Smith of Citrus Heights, California; two step-daughters, Lisa Wheeler and husband, Mark, of Johnsville and Paula Johnson and husband, Bobby, of Colorado; six step-grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 10 a.m., Monday, November 23, 2015 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kenneth Neal officiating. Burial will be in the Crossroad Cemetery. Pallbearers are Donnie M. Watt, Randall Watt, John Watt, Joey Don Watt, Aaron Watt and Daniel Peterson. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy R. Miller and Ronnie Murphy.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
