Edwina Dunning Morrison, 90, of Little Rock, died Monday, September 12, 2016 at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. Mrs. Morrison was a native of Wilmot; a resident of Little Rock for the past 10 years and a former resident of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina and Wilmot, Arkansas. She graduated from Henderson State Teachers College in 1946 and was an educator for 25 years. She was an avid bird watcher, a member of the Audubon Society, a naturalist and she read the obituaries every week. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church and she enjoyed her church friends and fellow teachers.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Jack Morrison in 2014; her parents, Edward and Essie Sawyer Dunning and a brother, George Henry Dunning.
She is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Miller of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Lisa M. Easler of Portland, Oregon, Brian N. Easler of St. Petersburg, Florida, Megan M. Easler of Greenville, South Carolina, Ricky Miller of Huger, South Carolina and Tina Naylor of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2016 in the Wilmot Cemetery with Carlos Pitts officiating. Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Baptist Church, 501 N. Shackelford Road, Little Rock, AR 72211.
