William "Bill" "W.D." Ballew, 42, of Freeman, Missouri, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025. He was born June 11, 1982 in Monroe, Louisiana, was a resident of Freeman, Missouri for the past 25 years, a former resident of Hamburg, and a 2000 graduate of Hamburg High School. Bill worked as a welder/pipefitter and was a member of the Pipefitters Local Union 533 for 23 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who spent much time hunting, fishing and trapping. Some of the fondest memories were made in the woods and on the water with Bill. He enjoyed feeding and caring for the wildlife on his property and spending time with his black lab, Warren. W.D. was a leader, teacher and brother to many. To say he will be truly missed is an understatement.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert “Bud” and Patricia Boden.
He is survived by his parents, Jack and Patricia Vickers Ballew of Hamburg; two sisters, Patricia Ballew and Samantha Ballew both of Kansas City, Missouri; two nephews, Zebulon and Josiah Ballew; his partner, Sarina McKee of Kansas City, Missouri; his Union Brothers, and many friends.
