Walter W. Jackson, 59, of Crossett, died Monday, November 29, 2021 at the Ashley County Medical Center. Mr. Jackson was a native and lifelong resident of Crossett and a 1980 graduate of Crossett High School. He worked as a Supervisor at Ideal Tru-Value Lumber Yard for many years and was a member of Cloverdale Assembly of God Church. Mr. Jackson enjoyed camping and loved spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William “Sonny” & Ellen Jones Jackson and a sister, Deborah Kay Slaughter.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene Jackson of Crossett; two daughters, Jennifer Jackson of Fayetteville and Cheyenne White of Crossett; two sisters, Janice Evans and husband, Mike, of Houston, Texas and Carolyn Reeves and husband, Charles, of Pineville, Louisiana; three brothers, William Jackson and wife, Deanie, of Hamburg, Robert Jackson and wife, Shardelle, of Alvin, Texas and James Jackson of Houston, Texas; his brother-in-law, Bob Lawson of Houston, Texas; two granddaughters, Aleigha Miller and Azelia Bailey; 11 nieces and nephews and many friends.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Thursday, December 2, 2021, at the Cloverdale Assembly of God Church with Bro. David Williams and Bro. D.J. Bussell officiating. Burial will be in the Carlock Cemetery. Pallbearers are Waylon Jackson, Donald Atchley, Doug Webb, Greg Donald, David Weatherly, and Steve Mann. Honorary pallbearers are Daniel Cotton and Steven Edwards.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at the church.
