Vickie Pennington Stafford, 73, of Crossett, died Thursday, September 2, 2021, in El Dorado. Mrs. Stafford was a native of Big Spring, Texas; a lifelong resident of Crossett and Hamburg, and a 1966 graduate of Hamburg High School. She was a homemaker and a member of the North Crossett First Baptist Church. Mrs. Stafford was also a member of the Ashley County Extension Club, Ashley County Potpourri Club and was active with the Ashley County Fair for many years. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed sewing.
She is preceded in death by her parents, M.C. & Joyce Bly Pennington.
She is survived by her husband of 52, years, Jimmy Don Stafford of Crossett; three daughters, Donette Stafford Boyett and husband, Frank, of Port Townsend, Washington; Leslie Stafford Campbell and husband, Scotty, of Chatham, Louisiana and Crystal Stafford Segars and husband, J.T., of West Monroe, Louisiana; a step-daughter, Sheri Stafford Odle and husband, Buzz, of Rogers; three sons, Chris Stafford of Monroe, Louisiana, Brad Stafford of Crossett and Jay Stafford of Flippin; a step-son, Donald Stafford and wife, Janette, of Crossett; two brothers, Micky Pennington and wife, Gail, of Lake Village and Rick Pennington of Monroe, Louisiana; eight grandsons, two granddaughters, one great-grandson and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Sunday, September 5, 2021, at the North Crossett First Baptist Church with Rev. Robin Allen and Rev. Donald Stafford officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons Jeb Boyett, Andrew Stafford, Hunter Campbell, Noah Stafford, John David Boyett, Jerret Segars, Josh Akers and Zane Akers.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m., Sunday at the church
