Vicki Burns Mixon, age 70, of Montrose passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024 at the Nightingale at Crossett. She served the city of Montrose as Recorder/Treasurer for nine years. Before that she helped in Cricket’s Restaurant and was the proud owner and hairstylist of Hair Fair in Lake Village.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Joseph “Franky” Mixon in 2022; her daughter, Jena Christine “Chrissy” Hester in 2017; a grandson, Aubryn Thomas Hester in 2016; her mother, Mary Christine “Cricket” Burns in 2002 and her brother, Jeff Burns in 2015.
She is survived by her son, Buster Eugene Craig and wife, Brooklyn, of West Monroe, Louisiana; four grandchildren, Ada Jane, Conner, Jadie Brook, and Bridger; father, Earl Burns of Montrose; son-in-love, William Hester and wife, Jacquelyn, of Montrose; and special friends, Bennie and Rose Mary Young of Hermitage, Jennifer Andrews and Marcy Young both of Crossett.
A private graveside service was held Tuesday, February 13, 2024 in the Montrose Cemetery.
