Velma Gillum

Velma Gillum, 82, of Snyder, died Thursday, January 2, 2020. Mrs. Gillum was a native of Dardanelle, a resident of Snyder for the past 21 years, and a former resident of Eudora for many years. She was a homemaker.

She is preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Eliane Nichols in 2017; her parents, Jess & Leona Hamilton; three brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Travis Gillum of Snyder; three sons, Wayne Gillum of Lamar, Larry Don Gillum and wife, Allison, of Pearl, Mississippi and Jeff Gillum and wife, Suzee, of Snyder; a sister, Adelaide Hamilton of Monticello; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services are 3 p.m., Saturday, January 4, 2020, in the Mount Carmel Cemetery in Eudora with Bro. Sammy Land officiating.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
