Tyler Thomas Otwell, 35, of Hamburg, died Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. Tyler was born February 19, 1991 in Greenville, Mississippi, a resident of Hamburg for the past ten years and a former resident of Lake Village. He was a 2009 graduate of Hamburg High School and attended Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church. Tyler worked as an equipment operator in the construction industry. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and cherished every opportunity to spend time with his children, family, and friends. Tyler will be remembered for his love of family, his hardworking spirit, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jerry and Carolyn Clark and his paternal grandmother, Mary Otwell.
He is survived by his wife of nine years, Courtney Morrison Otwell; his daughter, Brynn Otwell; his son, Rafe Otwell all of Hamburg; his mother and step-father, Katie Clark Amos and Shane Amos of Texarkana, Texas; his father and step-mother, Stephen Otwell and Deniece Otwell of Little Rock; his sister, Mary Katelyn Dumond and her husband, Tristian, of Azle, Texas; his father and mother-in-law, Wayne Morrison and Donna Morrison of Monticello; his paternal grandfather, Steve Otwell of Wilmot; a niece, Emery Dumond of Azle, Texas and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 2, 2026 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Harvey officiating.
