Toni Lynn Cataldo Smith Obituary

Memorial services for Toni Lynn Cataldo Smith have been set for 10 a.m., Saturday, September 21, 2024 in the Chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home with Rev. Robin Allen officiating.

Mrs. Smith, 74, of Hamburg, died Friday, August 16, 2024 at the Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett. Lovingly known as “Moo Moo”, she was a native of Long Beach, California and a resident of Hamburg for the past 30 years. Mrs. Smith worked for the Ashley County Assessors Office for many years and later was a Title Researcher for the Byrd-Mills Title Company. She was a very gifted person and could do just about anything. Mrs. Smith loved her family and friends, road trips, her dogs, and good food. She was an excellent cook, and made sure her boys were introduced to a diverse menu when growing up, like sauerkraut and dumplings or carbonara.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father in love, who raised her and was Grandma and Grandpa to her children, Louis and Evelyn Oldham Salewski; her father, John Cataldo; her mother, Gloria Butler; two brothers, Kevin Butler and Greg Butler, and a multitude of dogs and horses.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Larry Smith of Hamburg; three sons, Matt Kirkpatrick and wife, Jennifer, of Lathrop, Missouri, Wes Kirkpatrick and wife, Vonda, of Tillar and Wayne Smith and wife, Emily, of Benton; a daughter-in-love, Tamra Jackson-Ziems and husband, Larry, of Ewing, Nebraska; a special cousin, Kathy Linville and husband, David, of Emerald Isle, North Carolina; her soul sister, best friend,  and Aunt T to all of Moo Moo’s family, Tawana Miller and husband, Donnie, of Hamburg, seven grandchildren, Annelise, Coda, Canon, Evan, Lilly, Eli and Josiah.

For Christmas every year, Moo Moo gave her grandchildren money to donate to any charity they chose.  In lieu of flowers and in her memory, please donate to the charity of your choice.
