Theresa “Teri” Lucinda Breedlove, 69, of Hamburg, died Saturday, February 4, 2023, at her home. Mrs. Breedlove was a native of San Antonio, Texas until she moved to Ashley County in 1977 and has been a resident of Hamburg since 1985. She was a 1972 graduate of Breckenridge High School in San Antonio. Mrs. Breedlove worked as a Legal Secretary for Paul Selby, Jim Barker, and Gale Zimmerman and was a Coordinator with the Ashley County Office of Emergency Management for many years. While working with the public allowed her to meet new people, she never met a stranger, and new people often became her friend forever. Mrs. Breedlove was a devoted and faithful member of Southside Baptist Church. Her hobbies included raising plants and flowers, especially roses, and she had a lifelong passion for creativity and arts and crafts. Mrs. Breedlove was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, even though distance prevented her from seeing them as often as she wished.
She is preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Aaron Thompson; her parents, Robert Charles and Marie Anne Lindsay Kirchenbauer and a brother, James Ernest Kirchenbauer.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Tommy J. Breedlove, Sr., of Hamburg; a son, Tommy J. Breedlove, Jr. (Jennifer) of Fouke; two daughters, AnnaMarie Harmony Stanton (Paul) of Dickson, Tennessee, and Victoria Diane Chapman (J. Cloud) of Caribou, Maine; two sisters, Maryalice Huizar (Vince) of San Antonio, Texas and Leanne Neidig (Dale) of Ponca City, Oklahoma; a brother, Marvin Kirchenbauer of San Antonio, Texas; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services are 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 8, 2023, in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Newberry officiating. Memorials may be made to the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute, 4301 W. Markham Street, #716, Little Rock, AR 72205.
Visitation will be 1 – 2 p.m., Wednesday in the funeral home chapel.
