Starr Boles, 63, of Hamburg, died Saturday, July 4, 2026 at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. Mrs. Boles was born June 26, 1963 in Bastrop, Louisiana, was a former resident of Farmerville, Louisiana and has been a resident of Hamburg for the past 20 years. She was a member of Jerome Baptist Church. Mrs. Boles was a dedicated homemaker who was known for her excellent cooking and love of preparing meals for her family. She also enjoyed tending to the flowers and plants in her yard and cherished every opportunity to dote on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John Roberts & Willie Jo Boyer; a sister, Charlotte Lightsey; two brothers, Wayne "Bo" and Billy Lightsey and a brother-in-law, Frankie Harris.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Tommy Boles; a son Don Michael Boles and his wife, Jennie, all of Hamburg; three daughters, Crystal Aud and her husband, David of Woodlawn, Brandi Dawn Sammons of Hamburg and Holly Rice of Crossett; two sisters, Debbie Babin and her husband, Clarence, of Houma, Louisiana and Judith Allene Harris of Hamburg; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2026 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Elvin McDill and Bro. Junior Hollinger officiating. The family has requested that memorial donations be made to Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home to help with Mrs. Boles funeral expenses. A private burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Visitation will be 9:30-10 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel.
