Obituary
Shirley Edwards, 73, of Hamburg, died Friday, July 28, 2023 at her residence in Hamburg. Mrs. Edwards was a native of Lake Village, a resident of Hamburg for the past 25 years and a former resident of Boydell and Lake Village. She was a homemaker and a member of Sardis Baptist Church. Mrs. Edwards enjoyed planting flowers, gardening, arts and crafts, painting and playing on her computer, but her most favorite pastime was fishing. She loved to cook for her family and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Eugene Edwards and Kennon Edwards; her parents, Burley and Leona Fleming Trantham, four brothers and six sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth Edwards; a son, Jody Edwards and wife, Christie, all of Hamburg; three grandchildren, Chase Edwards, Dillon Whistler and Hayden Edwards and seven step-grandchildren, Ayden, McKenzie, Frazer, Kori-Jean, Wyatt, Scarlett and Gabby.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to St. Jude, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
