Sallie Brouyette Broach, 80, of Hamburg, died Thursday, November 28, 2024, at her residence. Mrs. Broach was a native and former resident of Rochester, Indiana, a resident of Hamburg for the past 50 years and a 1962 graduate of Rochester High School. She worked as a Clerk for the Fountain Hill Grocery Store and the Pine Hill Grocery Store where she enjoyed meeting new people and visiting with the regular customers until she retired in 2018. She liked to shop and would often go to any flea market in search of the milk glass, corning ware and other items that she enjoyed collecting. Mrs. Broach was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Guy Paul Brouyette, Sr. and Ethel McHenry Brouyette-Reith; a sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Ed Brewer; two brothers-in-law, Earl Vance and Tom Jay and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cecil and Luna Sawyer Broach.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Dewayne Broach of Hamburg; three daughters, Jennifer Moon (Bryant) and Laura Hopkins (Jamie), all of Crossett and Cassie Broach (Anjel) of Pensacola, Florida; a sister, Nancy Vance; two brothers, Guy Paul "Sonny" Brouyette, Jr. (Kay) and Fred Brouyette (Sally); a sister-in-law, Anne Jay; four grandchildren, Drew Halley, Jordan Sivils, Hannah Hopkins and Bryce Moon and one great-grandchild, Kennedy Halley.
Graveside services are 2 p.m., Saturday, November 30, 2024, in the Eden Cemetery with Reagan Craig officiating. Memorials may be made to the Eden Cemetery Association, c/o Jerry Stanley, 747 HWY 8 West, Hamburg, AR 71646.
