Rose Marie Taylor, 58, of Hamburg, died Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at her residence. Mrs. Taylor was a native of Hamburg, a former resident of Crossett and Monroe, Louisiana for many years, having moved back to Hamburg a little over a year ago. She was a Legal Secretary, and she attended Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Taylor enjoyed working crossword puzzles, fishing and babysitting.
She is preceded in death by her son, David Matthew Taylor; her father, Gerald Lee Taylor; her step-father, Harold Hollis, and two nephews, Staff Sergeant, James A. Maum, and Dustin Lane Dye.
She is survived by her mother, Ilene Kelley Hollis of Hamburg; a sister, Charlotte Margolis and husband, Michael, of La Vergne, Tennessee; a brother, John Dye of Crossett; two half-brothers, Gerald Taylor, Jr. and Jay Taylor both of Crossett and a host of nieces and nephews.
A private funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, January 23, 2021 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Richard West officiating. A private burial will be in the Flat Creek Cemetery.
