Roma B. Stanley, 82, of Fountain Hill, died Monday, October 5, 2020. Mr. Stanley was a native and lifelong resident of Fountain Hill and a 1956 graduate of Fountain Hill High School. He was a carpenter and enjoyed building many different things. Mr. Stanley was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved helping people and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Eva Agnes Bolin Stanley and a sister, Elsie Stanley Allison.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Carolyn Pearson Stanley of Fountain Hill; a son, Roma Carroll Stanley and wife, Paula, of Lake Village; a daughter, Glenda Allison and husband, Tommy, of the Valley Community; two brothers, Glendol Stanley of Beekman, Louisiana and Hershal Stanley and wife, Margie, of Mayflower; two sisters, Judy Mace and husband, Jerry, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Dianne Stephenson of Bastrop, Texas; four grandchildren, Jennifer Davis, Morgan Stanley, Carrie Skender and Casey Allison; five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 7, 2020 in the Flat Creek Cemetery with Bro. Elvin McDill officiating. Memorials may be made to Gideon’s International, PO Box 83, Crossett, AR 71635.
Visitation will be 1:45 – 2 p.m., Wednesday at the cemetery.
