Robert Larry Sanderlin Obituary

Robert Larry Sanderlin, 74, of Hamburg, died Friday, January 23, 2026, at the Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock.  Mr. Sanderlin was born December 14, 1951 in Monticello and was a lifelong resident of Hamburg. After he graduated from Hamburg High School, he continued his education at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, where he was a proud member of Phi Lamda Chi. His career path included the family logging business, Owner of Sanderlin Oil Company, and he was a Chief Pipeline Inspector and Level II certified inspector with N.A.C.E. Mr. Sanderlin was a member of the Hamburg United Methodist Church, a longtime member and former president of Ashbrook Island Hunting Club, a member of N.A.C.E, and a proud PADI SCUBA certified diver. He was an avid hunter all of his life, loved being in the woods and sharing his love of hunting with friends and family. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Bessie Sanderlin, his grandparents, DC and Willie Sanderlin and his lifelong friend, Johnny Courson.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Debbie Cogbill Sanderlin of Hamburg; two daughters, Jessie Hammond and her husband, Neal of Hamburg and Jayne Moore and her husband, Billy of Conway; two brothers, John Sanderlin and Mike Sanderlin and his wife, Ramona all of Hamburg; three granddaughters, Lila Densmore, Emma Hammond and Avery Moore; two grandsons, Parker Hammond and Shepard Moore and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2026 on the Arkansas side of the Ashbrook Island Landing, off of North Levee Road in Lake Village with Bro. Jessie Charpentier, Bro. Robin Allen, and Bill Spivey officiating. Honorary Pallbearers are Bill Spivey, Bill Givens, Stanton Veazey, Paul Keith, Bryce Sanderlin, Parker Hammond, Steven Gilbert, Bill Williams, Scooter Regini, David Coffman and Clint Book. Visitation will follow the service at the Sanderlin home, 115 Sawbrier Road in Hamburg. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to a wonderful organization dedicated to helping Military Veterans and their families, Operation Red, White, and Brave (ORWB), P.O.
