Robert E. “Pat” Rickman, 92, of Crossett, died Friday, May 17, 2019. Mr. Rickman was a native and lifelong resident of Crossett, a Baptist and a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during World War II. Mr. Rickman worked for the Chase Bag Company for 37 years. An avid hunter, he was a member and past President of the Morgan Hunting Club. He was an animal lover and loved his horses, mules and coon dogs. Mr. Rickman’s family was most important to him, and he enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wives, Lavern Sanderlin Rickman and Julia Norrell Rickman; his parents, Robert Melton and Josie Maxwell Rickman; a brother, J.T. Rickman and five sisters, Lucille Watt, Lorene Byrd, Minnie Clark, Nina Josey and Polly Hill.
He is survived by his sons, Dennis Rickman and wife, Carol, and Steve Listar and wife, Janie, all of Crossett; his step-daughters, Ann Reed of Monroe, Louisiana, Dixie Adams and husband, W.T., and Sandy Harrison and husband, Gary, all of Crossett; two brothers, Charles Lexie Rickman of Crossett and James Edgar Rickman and wife, Mary, of Ozark, Missouri; three grandchildren, David Rickman and wife, Traci, Tracy Bishop and husband, Jed, all of Crossett and Dr. Robert Rickman and wife, Dawn, of Shreveport, Louisiana; seven step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Monday, May 20, 2019, in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robin Allen officiating. Burial will be in the Crossroads Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
