Ricky Joe Johnson, 68, of Hamburg, died Saturday, October 15, 2022, at his residence. Mr. Johnson was a native of Crossett, a resident of Hamburg for the past 50 years, and a former resident of Fountain Hill for 18 years. He graduated in 1972 from Fountain Hill High School, owned and operated Johnson Refrigeration for over 25 years, and was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Johnson was an avid hunter, especially turkey and deer hunting, and enjoyed traveling and taking his children to different places. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who always put his family first.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lovell and Jimmie Lou Henderson Johnson; four brothers, Houston, Johnson, Randy Johnson, Jimmy Van Johnson, and Donnie Johnson; a nephew, Sammy Johnson and a niece, Angie Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lillian “Lynn” Sharp Johnson; a son Ricky Wayne Johnson, both of Hamburg; two daughters, Chasity Lee Brown (Bobby Goss) Fort Smith and Tonya Lemon and husband, Eric, of Hamburg; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn Bilbo and husband, Nick, of Crossett, Tyler Brown of Marion, Iowa, Gavin Lemon and Payton Lemon, both of Hamburg; a great-grandchild, Avery Bilbo and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Joey Meredith and Tony Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Crossroads Cemetery. Pallbearers are Eric Lemon, Tony Johnson, Bobby Goss, Nick Bilbo, Mark Johnson, Dusty Stanley, and Ricky Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Phillip Johnson and Gavin Lemon.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
