Raymond Dale Lovett, 85, of Hamburg, died Monday, September 12, 2022, in Springdale, Arkansas. Mr. Lovett was born August 12, 1937, a native and lifelong resident of Hamburg and Ashley County, and a resident of Springdale for the past five years. He was a veteran of the United States Army and worked at the Crossett Sawmill and then the Georgia-Pacific Plywood Mill as a Millwright until he retired. Mr. Lovett was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his boys, tinkering in his shop, spending time on the lake in his camper, and was an avid Razorback Fan. He took pride in providing for his family and loved them with all his heart.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Alice Maxine Carter Lovett in 2019; his parents, William T. and Julia Morlock Lovett; a sister, Janell Holland and four brothers, William Thomas (Billy) Lovett, Robert Garland Lovett, Lawrence Eugene Lovett, and Carlton B. Lovett.
He is survived by a daughter, Judy Lovett McDonald and husband, Chuck, of Hot Springs; two sons, Kenneth Lovett and wife, Melissa, of Fayetteville, and Glenn Lovett and wife, Tammy, of Mineola, Texas; eight grandchildren, Mandi Carmen and husband, Bryant, of Bluff City, Heather Pack of Camden, Josh Lovett and fiancée, Courtney Lee, of Jonesboro, Jordan Tollett and husband, Tyler, of Nashville, Will Lovett of Fayetteville, Noel Lovett, Bella Lovett, and Triston Lovett all of Mineola, Texas; five great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services are 10 a.m., Thursday, September 15, 2022, in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Carter and Bro. Barry Carter officiating. Burial will be in the Promise Land Cemetery. Pallbearers are Josh Lovett, Will Lovett, Coley Lovett, Dennis Carter, Kameron Easttam, and Braxton Hooks.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
