Ramon C. Grantham, 90, of Portland, died Sunday, May 10, 2020, at his residence. Mr. Grantham was a native and lifelong resident of Portland and a 1947 graduate of Portland High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a retired farmer. Mr. Grantham enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Vanita Jean Sadler Grantham in 2016; his parents, William and Emma Grantham; two brothers, Roy Grantham and William T. Grantham, Jr. and two sisters, Lorene Anderson and Evelyn Dixon.
He is survived by his son, Gregg Grantham and wife, Susie, of Portland; his daughter, Pamela Grantham Clayton of Mountain Home; three grandchildren, Grant Clayton, Hunter Clayton and Ryan Grantham; two great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Clayton and Jayce Clayton and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 12, 2020, in the Portland Cemetery with Jerry Selby officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Barry and Bill Wilson. Memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 1501 W. 10th Street, Little Rock, AR 72202.
Visitation will be 9:45 – 10 a.m., Tuesday at the cemetery.
