Pearl Williamson, 88, of Hamburg, went home to her eternal reward on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at the Belle View Estates Rehabilitation and Care Center in Monticello, with family by her side. She was born on July 12, 1935 in Moyers, Oklahoma and had been a resident of Hamburg for the past 65 years. Mrs. Williamson was a faithful and devoted member of the First Baptist Church. For 27 years, she wore various “hats” at the church, including the one she wore when trying to get something over on Dr. Bobby Pennington but always making sure he had a stock of Ginger-Ale. Other “hats” she wore were as a custodian and nursery worker. She was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, William Crawford in 1964 and Homer Williamson in 1998; a daughter, Debra J. Horn in 2009; two sons, Randy Williamson in 2010 and Ronnie Williamson in 2022; a son-in-law, Keith Richardson in 2015; a daughter-in-law, Sharri Williamson in 2022; her parents, Andrew “Sam” and Edith Osgood Savage; a sister, Reathel Wall and three brothers, Jim Savage, Leon “Blackie” Savage and Bob Savage.
She is survived by two daughters, Diana Crawford and Kathy Richardson, both of Hamburg; a bonus daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Tim Collins of Crossett; a sister, Brenda Lemley and husband, Don, of Batesville; a brother, Andy Savage and wife, Kathy, of Fountain Hill; five grandchildren, Chris Horn, Jennifer Horn, Melissa Richardson, Kyle Williamson and Kayla Borja; a host of great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services are 10 a.m., Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the First Baptist Church with Bro. Keith Long and Bro. Tommy Hollis officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery in Rye, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Leon Osgood, John Osgood, Kevin Osgood, Patrick Lemley, Tom McLemore and Tim Collins. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Hollis and Ryan Lemley. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Nursery, PO Box 352, Hamburg, AR 71646.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
