Patty Griffith

Patty Griffith, 72, of Fountain Hill, died Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at her residence.  Mrs. Griffith was a native and resident of Hamburg, having moved to Fountain Hill 22 years ago.  She attended Hamburg High School and was a homemaker.  Mrs. Griffith enjoyed reading, fishing, and watching westerns on television.  Always a compassionate and caring person, she never wanted anyone to be left out and made sure everyone felt included and welcome.  She loved her family and enjoyed just being around her children, and spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Lonnie J. Griffith, Sr. in 2009; a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter, Austin and Adaleigh Paccio in 2010; her parents, William B. “Bill” & Geneva Norrell King; six sisters, Nancy Gail Barnett, Mary Smith, Vickie King, Barbara Woods, Susan Savage and Peggy Woods and two brothers, Bruce King and Billy Wayne King.

She is survived by four daughters, Tressie Tucker and husband, Paul, of Hamburg, Amy Hudson and husband, Bryan, Megan Griffith and fiancé, Doug, all of Hamburg and Samantha Rankin and husband, Matt, of Wilmar; two sons, Roy Sanders (Cali) of Grapeville, Pennsylvania and Lonnie Griffith, Jr., of Fountain Hill; a sister, Dixie Fairchild of Hamburg; a brother, Reggie King of Fountain Hill; nine grandchildren, Shay, Kain, Kristen, Ashley, Allie, Drake, Abbigail, Gabriella and Marcus; six great-grandchildren, Hendrix, Bonndrant, Teller, Orrel, Wrenly and Marsali and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services are 10 a.m, Saturday, October 2, 2021, in the Carlock Cemetery with Rev. J.W. Dobbins officiating.  Honorary pallbearers are Shane Griffin, Matt Rankin, Paul Tucker, Doug Nutter, Bryan Hudson, Jeff Fairchild, Bradley McDonald, Andrew Pierce, William Dodson and Michael McDonald. 

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
