Patsy Ruth Johnson Simpson

Patsy Ruth Johnson Simpson, 76, of Crossett, died on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Ashley County Medical Center.  Mrs. Simpson was a native of Crossett and she attended Crossett High School.  She traveled many places with her husband while he worked construction, and five years ago, she moved back to Crossett to be cared for by her sister, Susie Bolin. Mrs. Simpson enjoyed working crossword puzzles and traveling.

She is preceded in death by a son, Rickey McDaniel; her parents, Dooley and Loene Meeks Johnson; two brothers, Charles Edward Johnson and Bobby Ray Johnson and a sister, Doris Nell Johnson Hudson.

She is survived by three sons, Don McDaniel and wife, Donna, Ron Simpson and wife, Lydia, and Tim Simpson and wife, Azur, all of Texas; a sister, Susie Johnson Bolin and husband, Sammy; a brother, Billy W. Johnson both of Crossett; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
