Patsy Jo McLeod Tomerlin, 71, of Hamburg, died Sunday, January 9, 2022, at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. Mrs. Tomerlin was a native of Crossett, a lifelong resident of Hamburg and a 1968 graduate of Hamburg High School. As a member of North Main Baptist Church, she was a faithful servant in many positions and loved her church and church family. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening in her flower beds, and genealogy. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was ready to go to any sporting event they participated in. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John Osborn and Essie Florene Maxwell McLeod; her father and mother-in-law, Edgar Mack, Sr., and Alice Ruby Gifford Tomerlin; and two brothers-in-law, Mack Tomerlin, Jr. and Kenneth Wayne Tomerlin.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Gerald Glenn Tomerlin; a son, Mark Tomerlin and wife, Katie; three daughters, Lori Pennington and husband, Scott, and Nicole Lair and husband, Danny, all of Hamburg and Kimberly Harper and husband, Steven, of Crossett; a sister, Janet McLeod Johnson and husband, Glenn, of Port Neches, Texas and a brother, John Herbert McLeod and wife, Martha, of Hamburg; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Tomerlin and Fran Tomerlin both of Hamburg; nine grandchildren, Meagan Lair Brooks and husband, Josh, Jacob Thomas Overbey and wife, Kaylie, Braxton Luke Sweeney, Connor Clay Sweeney, Mattison Ashley Osborn and husband, Payton, Marlee Beth Stell and husband, Jared, Maverick Cole Tomerlin, Austin Turner Pennington, and Lexie Justine Sweeney; three great-grandchildren, Jonah Weston Brooks, Ellie Claire Brooks, and Nate Miller Osborn and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at the North Main Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Griffith, Bro. Craig Chain and Bro. Bodie Spicer officiating. Burial will be in the Beech Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers are Johnny William Pierce, Charlie Maxwell, Blake Johnson, Russell Maxwell, Aaron McLeod and Peck Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Steve Rand, Randy Tomerlin, Billy Maxwell and Jeremy Johnson. Memorials may be made to North Main Baptist Church, 1105 N.
