Obie Oscar Clark, Sr., 81, of Hamburg, passed away Monday, March 2, 2026, at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Obie was born January 19, 1945 in Plain Dealing, Louisiana. Obie spent his life working hard and raising his family. After he retired from working in the Logging Industry and as a Dirt Contractor, he moved to Hamburg in 2013 to be near his youngest son. Obie enjoyed Indian history, hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his children and his four-legged fur babies. He loved telling stories and jokes (most of them were clean)
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Jackson Clark and Alma Lorene Lee Clark; a brother, Bobby Gene Clark; his sister, Alma Lorene Lawson; a grandson, Brandon Clark and his two pets, Tiger and Junior.
He is survived by two sons, Obie Oscar Clark, Jr., (Brittany Bostian) and James Clark all of Hamburg; a daughter, Laura Chisholm and her husband, Keith, of Longville, Louisiana; a brother, Andrew J. Clark of California; grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Tyler Landry, Celeste Foreman, Barrett Landry, Danielle Landry, Dakota Clark, Hope Rutledge, Jennifer Clark, Katy Phillips, Jake Chisholm and Jesse Chisholm, many great-grandchildren, friends and his precious four legged "baby", Honey.
The family would like to thank the caring staff of Davita Dialysis for their many years of love and care, especially Zana Johnson, Danielle Hughes "Tomato Girl", Bethany Stewart "Baby Girl" and Amanda King "Baby" and a very special thanks to his neighbor and friends, Coleman & Gail Mathews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 8, 2026, in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be 1:30 - 2 p.m, Sunday in the funeral home chapel.
