Nora Jackson Andrews, 91, of Crossett, died Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at the Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock. Mrs. Andrews was a resident of Crossett for most of her life and a 1952 graduate of Crossett High School. She loved to read her bible, taught Sunday school for over 40 years, was a faithful member of the North Crossett First Baptist Church and had formerly attended the Second Baptist Church and Meridian Baptist Church. Mrs. Andrews was an avid Razorback fan, a homemaker and a wonderful cook. She had a talent for quilting and was a member of a Quilting Club that she attended every week for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Andrews; her parents, James Welsey and Eva Vickers Jackson; seven brothers, John Wallace "Squeaky" Jackson, Willis Lamar "Bay" Jackson, Wilbur Gaile Jackson, Lyndal Glen Jackson Sr., Jim Tracy Jackson, Billy Joe Jackson and Douglas McArthur Jackson and two sisters, Martha "Sue" Jackson Stanley and Betty Lou Jackson.
She is survived by a son, Michael H. Andrews and wife, Ann, of Fountain Hill; a daughter, Kathy Andrews Kennedy and husband, Tommy, of Mobile, Alabama; five grandchildren, Eric Andrews and wife, Caitlin, Elliott Andrews and wife, Lindsey, Evan Andrews and wife, Hilary, Courtney Kennedy Negus and husband, Ben and Faith Kennedy Shekouh and husband, Marcus, 12 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to Marlene Hensley and the staff of Nightingale at Stonegate for their love and care.
Graveside services are 2 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2024, in the Hickory Grove Cemetery with Bro. Robin Allen officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Samaritans Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607 or to the charity/organization of your choice.
Visitation will be 1:30 - 2 p.m., Saturday at the cemetery.
