Nancy Louise Johnson, 84, of Crossett, died Friday, September 15, 2023, at the Nightingale at Crossett Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Johnson was a native and lifelong resident of Crossett and a member of the Cloverdale Assembly of God Church for over 40 years. She was a homemaker and had worked at the Hamburg Shirt Factory as a Seamstress for over 10 years. Mrs. Johnson had an amazing ability to make something out of nothing and could do everything from build cabinets to re-upholster furniture. She was talented, very crafty and enjoyed crocheting, painting, and decorating her home.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Ralph E. Johnson in 2014; her parents, Lester and Clara Ann Noble Clark and a sister, Clara Ann Rowton.
She is survived by four sons, Joey Johnson and wife, Karen, Kerry Johnson, and Mark Johnson, all of Crossett and Dusty Johnson of Hamburg; a sister, Sally Meadows of Monticello; eight grandchildren, Andy Johnson, Amy Bridges, Kallina Smith, Lee Johnson, Alicia Ratliff, Mickey Kinney, Savanah Rayne Johnson, Jeorgia Louise Johnson, 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Monday, September 18, 2023, in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Simms Cemetery. Pallbearers are Kevin Cessor, Michael Cross, Ricky Brantley, Adrian Ratliff, Tony Brantley, and Heath Cameron.
Visitation will be 1:30 - 2 p.m., Monday in the funeral home chapel.
