Nancy Hargrave Gwin, 81, of Hamburg, died Sunday, February 18, 2024, at the Springs of El Dorado Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Gwin was born in Bradley County, was a resident of Hamburg since 1981 and had been a former resident of Warren for many years. She graduated from Warren High School in 1960. Mrs. Gwin was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed making wreaths, cooking holiday meals, and spending time with her family. She was an exceptional mother, wife, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Jerry Adams in 1986; a son, Eric Adams in 2016; her parents, Tillman Jerone & Mada Hazel Polk Hargrave; a sister, Jean Simmons and a brother-in-law, Wayne Simmons.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Bobby Jo Gwin; a daughter, Kim Lauhon and husband, Ronnie; a brother, Michael “Mickey” Jerone Hargrave all of Hamburg; four grandchildren, Derek Lauhon and wife, Leslie, of Crossett, Trenna Barker and husband, Dillon, of North Little Rock, Cheyenne Clavet and husband, Garrett, of McGehee and Jake Adams of Hamburg; eight great-grandchildren, Daisy, Braxton, Colten, Corban, Barrett, Tillman, Mia and Theo; two special nephews that she helped raise, Les Simmons and wife, Kat, and David Simmons and wife, Stephanie; two great-nieces, Claire Simmons and C.J. Simmons and a great-nephew, Wyatt Simmons.
Funeral services are 10 a.m., Thursday, February 22, 2024 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Randy Rutledge officiating. Burial will be in the Hamburg Cemetery. Pallbearers are Glen Lockeby, Gary Grider, Johnny Pierce, Mike Riley and Evan Hogan.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
