Mildred “Louise” Virginia Dunemn, 94, of Fountain Hill, died Thursday, August 24, 2023 at her home. Mrs. Dunemn was a native of McArthur, a resident of Fountain Hill since 2012, and a former resident of Pine Bluff for 40 years and Warren for 25 years. She was a member of the Prairie Grove Baptist Church, where she once served as a Sunday School Teacher and Secretary/Treasurer. Mrs. Dunemn enjoyed quilting and had made 78 quilts that she gave to our country’s Veterans. She loved everybody, never met a stranger, had a great sense of humor, was a known prankster, and enjoyed picking at people.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Charley Dunemn in 2012; her son, Charles Kenneth Dunemn in 2020; her parents, Wylie and Tiny Durey Hudson; a sister, Betty Doris Rochester, and ten brothers, Frank Hudson, Warner A. “Red” Hudson, Floyd C. Hudson, Jim Thomas Hudson, John Edward “Gunt” Hudson, John Henry “Possum” Hudson, Ralph Hudson, Willie Hudson, Wylie Hudson and Roy Hudson.
She is survived by her daughter, Shiela Childers and husband, Dale, of Pine Bluff; a sister, Pat Chavis and husband, Roger; a brother, Billy Hudson, all of Fountain Hill; three grandchildren, Monica Bazan, Dawn Dunemn, and Mark Dunemn; five great-grandchildren, Austin, Abby, Hunter, Addison, and Emersyn; a great-great-grandchild, Harlow and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m., Sunday, August 27, 2023, in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Paul Halley and Bro. Ricky Carpenter officiating. A private burial will be in the Flat Creek Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are Timmy Chavis, Kevin Chavis, Alan Chavis, Larry Hudson, Jim Hudson, Doug Hudson, and the Savage family sons.
Visitation will be 6 – 8 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home.
