Mike Reed, 63, of Hamburg, died Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at the Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett. Mike was born February 22, 1963, in Little Rock. He was a lifelong resident of Hamburg and a proud graduate of Hamburg High School, Class of 1981. Mike worked for many years as a pipeline inspector until his retirement in 2021 due to his health declining. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Mike loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Pore Boy Deer Camp, where he spent many good times with friends. Mike was someone who liked to stay busy, always working on or building something. Whether fixing things around the house or simply “piddlin’” outside, he found joy in keeping his hands busy and appreciating the simple things in life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin J. "B.J." Reed and Janis Davis Reed.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Beth Temple Reed of Hamburg; two sons, Casey Reed and his wife, Jess, of Weatherford, Texas and Dillon Reed and his wife, Ashley, of Magnolia; three grandchildren, Braxton Reed, Asa Reed and Ruth Reed and his two lifelong best friends that he loved like brothers, Kenny Bowden and Rob Chapman.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
