Melissa Paige Rodriguez

Melissa Paige Rodriguez, 50, of LaFayette, Alabama, died Thursday, December 3, 2020.  Mrs. Rodriguez was a native of Dumas, raised in Hamburg, a resident of LaFayette, Alabama for a number of years and a former resident of Columbus, Georgia.  She was a homemaker and she loved listening to music and reading her bible.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor Phillips Sutton.

She is survived by three sons, Frank Sturgeon and wife, Jenna, of Sulphur Rock; James David Cessor, II and wife Shirlena Brooke, of Hamburg and Joshua Casey Rodriguez of LaFayette, Alabama; a daughter, Sarah Cortez and husband, Joey, of Hamburg; her father, Charles Clark “Chuck” Sutton; two brothers, Chuck Sutton and Jeff Sutton, all of LaFayette, Alabama, four sisters, six grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
