Max Steven Harrison,70, of Hernando, Mississippi, transitioned out of this life on February 21, 2026, at the Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Mr. Harrison was born on July 20, 1955 in Crossett; a resident of Hernando, Mississippi for the past five years and a former resident of San Diego, California for 15 years, Jonesboro for a few years and Littleton, Colorado for many years. Through his journey of 70 years, he touched many lives with his wisdom, humor, and unwavering spirit of perseverance. He was known for having boundless energy and passion for life. His legacy will be carried forward by those who had the privilege of knowing him. Mr. Harrison's remarkable life will forever be an inspiration and a testament to living a life filled with love, friendships, laughter, singing, dancing, and above all, golfing, fishing and one of his favorite sayings, "Git-er-done". He will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Horace “Bing” and Vivian Holland Harrison and a brother, Terry Harrison.
He is survived by his loving wife, Enriqueta “Kathy” Harrison of Hernando, Mississippi; his son, Christopher Harrison of Denver, Colorado; his daughter, Rebecca Guay-Kelley and her husband, Jonathan, of Hernando, Mississippi; a brother, Al Harrison and his wife, Marilyn, of Hamburg; his sister, Kem Christmas and her husband, Johnny, of Arkansas City and countless nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held to remember the Man, the Myth, the Legend, Steve Harrison, at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 7, 2026, in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bodie Spicer and Bro. Jessie Charpentier officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Brain Tumor Foundation, 55 Chapel Street, Suite 006, Newton, MA 02458.
Visitation will be 1:30-2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel.
