Matthew Ryan Culp Obituary

Matthew Ryan Culp, 48, of Kimberling City, Missouri, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at the Cox Medical Center in Branson, Missouri. Matthew was a resident of Kimberling City, Missouri for the past two years, and a former resident of Crossett and Hamburg for many years. He was a 1991 graduate of Fountain Hill High School, and in 1993, he graduated with an Electrical and Instrumentation Degree from Forest Echoes Vocational/Technical School. Matthew worked as an Electrician for many years and recently received his Merchant Mariner license and Towing Endorsement. From his passion of cooking, he opened Big Daddy’s food truck and catering in Crossett. After moving to Missouri, he and his wife opened Eagle Ridge Bed & Breakfast, where they hosted many friends and family. He had a great love of the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. An active member of the First Christian Church in Kimberling City, Matthew was not ashamed of his love for Jesus Christ. He was a talented musician, played bass guitar and sang with the Sivils Quartet, The Culps, Cornerstone, True Witness and various other groups. Matthew was a loving, genuine person that, combined with his faith, made a lasting impact on everyone he met.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Jimmie Sivils, and his paternal grandparents, Benoid and Ruby Culp.

He is survived by the love of his life for 23 years, Brandi Shairrick Culp of Kimberling City, Missouri; two sons, Ryley Culp of Cotter, Arkansas and Ethan Culp and wife, Jade, of Reeds Spring, Missouri; his parents, Bruce and Beverly Sivils Culp of Hamburg; a brother, Jared Culp and wife, Nicole, of East End, Arkansas; his maternal grandfather, Stanford Sivils and wife, Ruth, of Log Cabin, Louisiana; his father and mother-in-law, Brent and Jan Shairrick of Cotter, Arkansas; his sister-in-law, Keri Brooks and husband, Monty, of Chadwick, Missouri; his most precious grandson, Kelby, who lit up his whole world, six nieces and nephews, Noah, Craig, Morgan, Skyeler, Amery and Lynkon and a host of other family and friends.
