Mary Frances Kelley Mann, affectionately known as Tilly, 87, of Hamburg, died Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the Nightingale at Stonegate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Crossett. Mrs. Mann was a native of Drew County, a resident of Hamburg and Crossett for the past 15 years, and a former resident of Greenville, Mississippi and Texas. She was a 1954 graduate of Hamburg High School, a faithful servant of the Lord and a member of the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Mann was an excellent cook who enjoyed feeding people and worked for numerous boat companies on the river for many years. She always did the best she could at anything she did and was never one to complain. She always had a smile on her face and she loved everyone she met.
She is preceded in death by a son, Michael Dean Chadwick; a daughter, Sandra Kay Chadwick; her mother, Willie Muriel Gladden Kelley; her father, Malvin “Monk” Kelley, her step-mother that raised her, Nadine Stell Kelley; a brother, Don Kelley; a sister, Mary Lee Stafford and a special sister-in-law, Carolyn Kelley.
She is survived by her son, Bobby Shockley and wife, Babs; two special sisters, Faye Wallace and husband, Emmitt, and Ann Brooks and husband, Steve, all of Hamburg; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, special cousins and friends.
Graveside services are 2 p.m., Monday, March 20, 2023, at the Promise Land Cemetery Pavilion with Bro. Joey Meredith officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Steven Kelley, Bill Wallace, Sammy Wallace, Billy “Bubba” Stafford, Scottie Stafford, Ben Stell, William Stell, Charles H. “Bull” Wells, Dewey “Scutter” Kilcrease, Blaine “Buddy” Kilcrease, Thomas Wells, Lamar Wells, and Jimmy Stell.
