Martha Lynn Fitts

Martha Lynn Fitts, 69, of Portland, died Sunday, April 13, 2025 at the Chicot Memorial Medical Center in Lake Village. Mrs. Fitts was born June 28, 1955 in Chicot County and was a lifelong resident of Chicot County. She graduated from the University of Arkansas at Monticello with a Forestry Degree and worked for the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Fish Lab in Lake Village for 27 years. She was a member of the Family Worship Center in Lake Village.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Audrey Marie Herron Lynn and a brother, David Lynn.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Jimmy E. Fitts of Portland; two nieces, Haley Vincent and her husband, Andrew, of Memphis, Tennessee and Leslie Coolican and her husband, Matt, of Piperton, Tennessee and four great-nieces and great-nephews.

A private family graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 16, 2025 in the Montrose Cemetery. A memorial service will be held in the Family Worship Center in Lake Village at a later date.
