Marilyn Joyce Hall, 54, of Fountain Hill, died Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. Marilyn was born October 17, 1971 in Lake Village, was a 1990 graduate of Hamburg High School, a resident of Fountain Hill since 1999 and a former resident of Hamburg, Snyder and Portland. As a Crossett Wal-Mart Sales Associate for 19 years, Marilyn was known for always being helpful and a wonderful coworker. Marilyn was a devoted wife and a loyal friend. She loved spending as much time as she could with her family, especially her beloved puppies.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John W. Carpenter, Sr. and Carolyn Joyce Ogles Carpenter; her sister, Shelia Carpenter and her niece, Nikki Carpenter.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, David Hall; a brother, John W. Carpenter, Jr. both of Fountain Hill; a nephew, JJ Jones and many extended family, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2026, in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bill Elton officiating. Burial will be in the Bell Cemetery. Pallbearers are JJ Jones, Travis Hall, Harold Hall, Bryan Hall, Larry Hall and Joe Kersey. Memorials may be made to P.A.W.S. Friends of the Hamburg Pound, c/o Terri Riley, 1322 N. Visitation will be 9:30-10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel.
