Margaret Ann Nutt, 84, of Crossett, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. Mrs. Nutt was born on January 14, 1941 in Crossett as the only child to her parents, Robert and Lottie Maxwell Croswell. She was a lifelong resident of Crossett and when her children were young, she made it a priority to be at home with them. As her children got older, she started working outside of the home as a Teacher's Aid and later as a Tax Preparer. She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Crossett. Mrs. Nutt loved the Lord, her church and especially her Sunday School Class. In recent years, she was unable to attend church as often due to her many health issues. However, she was always so appreciative of the many ways her Sunday School Class showed their love for her. Mrs. Nutt cherished her family and all of the gatherings and holidays they shared. She was an amazing homemaker and cook.
She is preceded in death by two daughters, Stephannie Pratt and Kay Goodwin; a granddaughter, Kasey Goodwin and her parents, Robert and Lottie Maxwell Croswell.
Left to cherish many special memories is her husband of 63 1/2 years, William Roger Nutt, Jr. of Crossett; a daughter, Beth Nutt of Little Rock; a son-in-law, Charlie Goodwin of Stamps; two grandchildren, Benjamin Pratt and Caroline Pratt and her three precious great-granddaughters, Natalie, Ryleigh and Kyleigh.
A celebration of life service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, February 13, 2025 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phillip Slaughter officiating. Interment will be in the Hamburg Cemetery. Pallbearers are Charlie Goodwin, Larry Nutt, Benjamin Pratt, Kurt Price, Benny McDougald and Wes McDougald. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Crossett, 701 Main Street, Crossett, AR 71635.
Visitation will be 1-2p.m., Thursday in the funeral home chapel.
