Margaret Robinson, 83, of Bastrop, Louisiana, died Sunday, July 14, 2024, at the Morehouse General Hospital in Bastrop. Mrs. Robinson was born in Portland, a resident of Crossett for most of her life, and a resident of Bastrop for the past 24 years. She worked as a Stocker at the Safeway Grocery Store in Crossett for over 20 years and was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Bastrop. Mrs. Robinson loved dancing, especially line dancing, and would go every weekend to dance at the American Legion Hut. She enjoyed being outside, hunting, fishing, even “bucket” fishing, and camping. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to joke and pick.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Janie Louise Williamson White in 2020; a grandson, Chad Hampton in 2020; her husbands, George “Jerry” Williamson in 1996 and Ray Robinson, Jr. in 2021; her parents, Carl and Erma Louise Cessor Jeffers; three infant sisters, Nancy Marie Jeffers, Elizabeth Louise Jeffers and Alice Faye Jeffers and a brother, Jasper Lee “J.L.” Jeffers.
She is survived by a daughter, Anne Golden and husband, Chris of Mer Rouge, Louisiana; her sister, Jane McClain of Hamburg; three brothers, Charles Jeffers, Jerry Wayne Jeffers and wife, Becky, all of Crossett; and Carl Jeffers, Jr. and wife, Gail, of Hamburg; her son-in-law, Robert White of Harrison; a sister-in-law, Mary Jeffers of Choudrant, Louisiana; two grandsons, Jeremy White of Fayetteville and Derrick White and wife, Tiffanie, of Harrison; six great-grandchildren, Karlie Hampton, Maggie Hampton, Houston White, Eva Mason, Ava Stephens, Ariana Golden and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Thursday, July 18, 2024, in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Allan Eppinette and Bro. Joey Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jerry Wayne Jeffers, Charles Jeffers, Carl Jeffers Jr., Matthew Jeffers, Wayne McClain, and Willie Crow. Honorary pallbearers are Robert White, Derrick White, Jeremy White, Patrick Golden, and Charles Jeffers Jr. Memorials may be made to Hope at Home, PO Box 1001, Crossett, AR 71635.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m., Thursday in the funeral home chapel.
