Madison Taylor Childress

Madison Taylor Childress, 28, of Hamburg died Friday, July 4, 2025, in Crossett as the result of an automobile accident.  Madison was born July 12, 1996 in Texarkana, Texas and was a lifelong resident of Hamburg. She was a 2014 graduate of Hamburg High School and had just received her Licensed Practical Nurse degree in May of this year from the South Arkansas Community College in El Dorado. Madison was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. She had a passion for nursing and taking care of people and for the past six years, she worked as a Certified Nurses Aid at The Pillars of the Community in Crossett.  Madison loved being outside with her daughters, working in her flowers, doing yard work and spending time with her friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Jesse and Diane Vail and Jo Buchanan and two uncles, Kenny-Bo Bankosh and Damon Bankosh.

She is survived by two daughters, Addisyn Breann Childress and GraceLynn Jo Sivils; her parents, Thomas and Monica Bankosh Vail all of Hamburg and Jason and Jennifer Buchanan of Alvin, Texas; the love of her life, Chance Sivils of Hamburg; two sisters, Gracie Vail of Hamburg and Kennedy Buchanan of Alvin, Texas; four brothers, Ethan Vail and Ganon Vail both of Hamburg, Braden Buchanan and Corbin Buchanan both of Alvin, Texas; her grandparents, Kenny and Suzanne Bankosh of Ashdown and Becky Cleghorn of Crossett; her great-grandparents, Lee and Margaret Patrick of Snyder and a nephew, Kendrick Schofield.

Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, July 7, 2025, at the Promise Land Cemetery Pavilion with Bro. Josh Luellen officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Ethan Vail, Ganon Vail, Braden Buchanan, Corbin Buchanan, Chance Sivils and J.D. Nubles.
