Linda Moreland Knight

Linda Moreland Knight, 81, of Hamburg, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her family.  Mrs. Knight was born February 27, 1943 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, a former resident of Bastrop, Louisiana, a resident of the Milo Community outside of Hamburg for the past 58 years and a 1960 graduate of Bastrop High School.  From 1985 until 2006, she was the owner and operator of Linda's Florist in Crossett and from 1993 until 2003 she owned and operated Jones-Knight Flower Shop in Hamburg.  Mrs. Knight was a faithful and devoted member of the Cloverdale Assembly of God Church, where she was the choir director and Youth Sunday School Teacher for many years. She loved sharing God's word and with her heart full of that love and a spirit that never faltered, Mrs. Knight truly lived her life to the fullest.  She never met a stranger, enjoyed traveling anywhere and everywhere and would spend as much time as possible with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Moreland Jean Wesson Mills in 2019; her parents, Johnny and Mable Thrift Moreland; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, McCoy and Rudolph Knight; a niece, Tara Smith Harder and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Johnny Gale and Ann Knight.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Kenneth Knight; her daughter, Jeanna Knight Lineberger and husband, Steven; two sons, Jarrod Knight and Caleb Knight, all of Hamburg; a brother, Johnny Moreland and wife, Karolyn, of Bastrop, Louisiana; three grandchildren, Chloe McDonald, Frankye Wesson and Josh Lineberger and wife, Meredith and four great-grandchildren, Gemma McDonald, Hagen McDonald, Noah Lineberger and Miranda Lineberger.

Funeral services are 2 p.m., Sunday, January 26, 2025, at the Cloverdale Assembly of God Church with Bro. David Williams and Bro. Maurice Lednicky officiating.  Burial will be in the Egypt Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Chris Knight, Shelby Knight, Johnny Moreland, George Moreland, James Harrington and Keith Harrington.  Memorials may be made to the Cloverdale Assembly of God Church, 132 Ashley Road 15, Crossett, AR 71635.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Saturday at the church.
